Not only a dramatic pose, but as sharp as a pin! It is perhaps one of your better images of these...but if pressed, it would be hard to judge them against each other, so it is this one for today which gets the blue ribbon.

Anither wonderful shot from you, I don't know where to begin ! :-) First, the details, the composition and the POV are excellent. Then, I must saythe colors are splendid - golden color for the Dragonfly, tender green for the grass, and a lovely light brown for the BG, which is also nicely blurred the make the insect stand out. To finish, the pose of the Dragonfly is most impressive, and quite unusual I think. Very well done !

Missed your images! And this not being an exception! Excellent detail and capture. While many suggest this pose is to cool down - the fact that you shot in relatively low temps in the shade pits that theory into question, suggesting that it is indeed some form of communication. Well done!

Hello Sumon,
This guy is feeling hot: at least he doesn't want to get hotter, which is why he is adopting this pose so that minimal body surface is exposed to the sun. Butterflies close their wings and dragonflies raise their bodies. In human terms this looks quite gymnastic and elegant.
Excellent sharp capture taken from a fine POV in a superb composition against a neutral BG.

Being a new member to Trek Nature I am still browsing if time permits. I think by the end of the week my eyes will be squint and my heart will need attention, because of all the excitement I am experiencing at the moment. It is quite a difficult task to decide which photos deserves smiley’s. There are just so many talented photographers on the site and they all have such spectacular portfolios. I found your portfolio filled with various subjects but decided to critique this beautiful dragonfly with the title “UMMMMPH!” The day that I will be able to take a picture of this caliber I’ll also stand on my hands and even do a few summer saults as well. The detail of the dragonfly is excellent and just like you I also enjoyed the pose. The very fine hairs on the greenery caught my attention, which proofs how well the focus on this photo is. Very well done. Impressive photo with lots of character. Thanks for sharing.
