Friends,
I made this picture near Mavathur. This is a female of Rose Ringed Parakeet waiting outside while the male is preparing the nest, probably, for laying eggs. Parakeets generally use any hole in the tree for nesting. It takes about 18 days to hatch the egg.

Lovely capture! Like the composition, excellent focus on the bird, nice feather detail.
Keep your eye on the nest and send us pics of them feeding the chicks ... I am so jealous, wish I had access to a nest site of such a beauty. I would have been addicted to photographing them.

a very different mood of parakeet is captured..
nice sharp image.
Tack sharp and can see the bits of wood falling from the beak.actually i say it on the LCD too.
