[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the common Krait ( Bungarus caeruleus). The deadliest of all the venomous Indian snakes. Its noctunal in habit. Its neurotoxin is the deadliest drop for drop. Having said all this , they are very shy & not aggressive. Will bite only when stamped upon.
The animal presented here was photographed on the side of the road in south eastern Madhya Pradesh. It is probably a first year animal which can be made out from its banding pattern.

Errata:
OOps there seems to have been a serious mistake on the identity of this snake. We were checking scale details from the photograph & now feel this probably is a Wolf snake , maybe Shaws wolf snake.

Photographed with a borrowed Tamron 90/2.5.

Hello Ali !
I love snakes and I think this is an excellent picture ! Excellent details on the snake's face, wonderful composition and POV, but I really hope you were not in danger when you took this picture. I would add somecontrast and saturation to the colors, but it's just my little opinion, and the picture is great as it is. Very well done !
Valerie.

Hi Baddruddin.
You are brave person to take shot of snake by macro lens. Excellent composition, lights and colours. I like sharpness of the animal head. Blurred BG is looked very nice too. Well done and kind regards.
Alexei.
