[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today the sun is shining through branches filled with snow. I will be going out cleaning the car from snow (or digging it out of the snow ;-), get the shovel out and clean up the balcony of the house, fill the feeders and hope to photograph little or big birds, whoever feels like having its photo taken.

I took this photo last spring in Montreal, in the Parc Lafontaine located right in the middle of the city and attracting birds with its ponds.

That morning I saw many pigeons and mallards attracted by people feeding them. I bent down and clicked and really had fun when I opened that file.

That pigeon really seems mad for some reason as the duck is a duck, calm and posing for me. Who knows what goes on in those little minds? He probably can't stand paparazzis.

Have a good day!

Francine

Hi Francine!

The pigeon is angry but the duck seem to be smiling. Good compo.
But that little blue hemisphere down there a bit distracting.
Maybe that is a tip of paparazzi shoes. :-)

/Tabib/.

Not sure, but it looks like the one in the rear is the body guard:-) Or perhaps Secret Service. A very nice editorial image. Spring...oh yes..I think I remember that...

Hello Francine,
A clever catch of the "MAD" pigeon voicing his-her opinion of having its own image viewing back at itself. Great note as well.
One day, while photographing a Great Horned Owl with my 500mm F4.5, about a 160mm end on that heavy lens, this owl saw himself in the glass and decided to fight. It flew down off the branch it sat and posed for a minute or two, and then flew directly at me and the lens before I stood up and disrupted its flight pattern just a few feet before it would have hit the lens. Maybe birds do "Hate the Papparazzi!"
Have A Great Weekend!
Steve

Hi Francine,
I actually have a different interpretation of the scene of events.I think the duck is indeed the star attraction but the pigeon seems to be more like a bodyguard keeping the press at bay.....barking out orders!!! :-).A humourous image that brought a smile to my face.
Regards, David

bonjour Francine

Hi Francine,
this is a cute upload that you have posted today!I like it!I do not know or pretend to know the mind of a bird but I know a novel photo when I see one.The only thing that could of been better is if your f-stop were stopped down some but apart from that an entertaining shot. Thanks for sharing this view of the two.Happy new year as well. Bob

amusante photo avec le canard qui pose et le pigeon en colère ;)
il y a un tout petit détail qui pêche tout en bas, mais c'est tellement peu de chose...
amicalement

Ha ha! That Pigeon really does look mad! I never knew they could open there beaks so wide! ;)
Great shot of this pair.
The wide-angle view is splendid!
Well saturated colours and great lighting.
What's that on the bottom edge? Your knee or something? ;)
Great eye-contact and a super POV.
Great composition.
Well done Francine.
Another fine image from you :)
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Francine,
Great title, fun image..The mallard's giving you the eye, while the pidgeon voices its protest.
"Who knows what goes on in those little minds?"..
Not much past the next meal I would guess ;)

Hello Francine

I am surprised the pigeon is so upset, perhaps he is the duck's manager.
Very good capture of this odd couple.
The colours are rich and well saturated.
A very good angle for this shot.
They seem to be quite approachable.
TFS
