[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo this morning. This was the second sunny day of 2008. We've only had two of them, every other day was either raining or snowing. I made use of today and went for a long snowshoe hike up in the hills. The creek was unfrozen and flowing due to the rain we had last week, however the ice on the pond was not in any condition to walk on, I found that out by falling through the ice!

Hello Ti,
beautiful winter scenery, excellent composition and point of view, fantastic sharpness and good depth of field, lovely colors and light, good contrast, very well done!
Angela

Two sunny days!!! No fair!! We've had a couple of short sun breaks but that is all. Now they are saying next Tuesday will be sunny. It's been a dreary January. I trust that the pond wasn't too deep! We are going snowshoeing tomorrow... to the same place we went on Dec. 21st. I posted photos from there. Then there was about 30 inches. Now it has 93 inches!!!

I like your snowy creek with the morning light. Have you thought about an alternate crop of just the creek without any of the sky? I just scrolled the image up and it is amazing how the impact of the composition is heightened. Focus immediately goes to the snow covered foreground rock, to the beautiful light on the water and leads one back into the scene. I love it.
