| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was in Novi Sad, Serbia from 21st. December 07 to 4th January 08.
During my stay there I made several trips into the beautiful Fruska Gora Mountains.
I was hoping to film and photograph as much wildlife as possible but, sadly, there wasn't much sign of many wild creatures.
There were a few paw prints from foxes and a few deer but not much else.
What there was a great deal of was snow...wonderful beautiful snow.
I had the whitest of all the christmases that I have ever had.
This photo is of the old road from Novi Sad to Belgrade.
This spot is about 15 kilometres outside Novi Sad just past the picturesque village of Sremski Karlovci.
The snow had fallen for 3 days and nights but the roads stayed open and I was able to drive my little, hired Dacia car, somewhat carefully, throughout the worst of the weather that prevailed.
I come from Manchester, England and I know that with only a fraction of the snow that fell in Novi Sad we would have gridlocked traffic and closed roads everywhere.
The beautiful scenery of Fruska Gora and of my stay in Serbia generally will live with me for a long long time.
The people, the places and the scenery are just excellent.
I am intending sharing more of my snow scenery from this trip in later postings.
Regards
