[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Monarch arrived in Australia with the American miners who came to the gold rush in Victoria in the mid 1800's. The swan plant is the local host ( a declared Noxious weed which is being poisoned by agriculture department workers in W.A.)I captured some caterpillars and cut some swan plant and they hatched in my family room, time taken about 6 weeks from grub to Monarch, from top centre to bottom right about 30 minutes.
Like North America; the Australian Monarchs have an annual migration, from Queensland to Victoria, a distance of about 3000km, if you are lucky or have eyes to see, you will stumble across a eucalypt tree hosting thousands of butterfly's.

Hello Peter

You have done a great job on this montage of the stages of the metamorphosis.
The colours are vivid and bright.
Excellent focus and details.
The POV of each shot is well thought out,and the overall composition is colourful and interesting and educational too.
Great job here.
