Hi Bob,

An indeed wintery scene,you captured it well,the thisch layers of snow hanging on the trees are clearly visible,nice that there are still some blue spots visible in the sky,thanks for this upload,but all hope that spring is tuning in fast again,

Hallo Bob
Now I can see what they mean with the words of the song "Winter Wonderland". This is a scene one normally sees on the Christmas cards. I real fairy tale picture. I can feel the cold, but see the beauty. I have never had the opportunity to witness a scene with this much snow. Snow does some amazing things and I heard that it is great to photograph because of the light reflecting back from below. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed looking at this one.

this one is simply beautful, this is a common scene for you there but a rare one here, i have never seen snow like this, you have managed exposure well , the blue sky with clouds look beautiful, well composed shot,

Hello Bob,
The fine exposure of the whites, the blue of the sky, the composition of the conifers bent under the weight of the heavy snowfall, all make this image of the heart of winter look positive, as it is a fine image. Our winter is so far snowless in the very south of Sweden but if we get snow there are positive aspects...

This is just beautiful. The white of the snow, the blue in the sky and the green in the trees are just wonderful. I have always found snow covered trees to be a lovely sight and they truly are in this shot. By the way, how long are these snowstorms forecasted to last???

Hi Bob,
It seems beauty always can be found, even at the worst situations.
You took good advantage of the brief weather window, to bring us this splendid snowscape.
I think you had to point up the camera to avoid the large amount of snow accumulated on the ground, but the resulting extra wide composition its great, with all that pines against the blue sky.

Pretty shot of the winter wonderland you are living in Bob. Wouldn't know it was in the city besides your note. At first I even thought you took a drive out of town. The puffy cloud blue sky adds the finishing touch to this. TFS

Gran claridad en esta bella foto. muy hermosos colores y exelente presentacion.
We dont have snow here very often, only one each 3 or 4 years. when it happens, it is like a big even, No school, no work, and everybody get out to play in the streets for only one day.

This looks very much like Bulgaria. I loved the crisp air after it had snowed.
This is a really great shot!
You've exposed it perfectly resulting in an evenly lit image with no OE or UE areas.
Great composition and depth.

I see that the storm slammed your area, as is common in Eastern Washington. An incredibly well balanced and detailed capture of the snow laden trees and ground. The contrast between the snow and blue of the sky is breathtaking, as is or was your own to stand and capture this special scene. your Leica is a great camera, very crisp images,

I have been reading the forum posts and you really have had some weather. In contrast we actually had an end to the rain with blue skies and warm sun.

This is a really beautiful scene. I love the snow heavy trees contrasted against a blue but still wintery sky. Lovely exposure and beautiful composition

The lighting is wonderful with a brilliant blue sky and puffy white clouds.

I like so much winter in my country when there is snow (like we have this year) and I'm always glad to see such beautiful snowy landscapes. I'm proud and considering myself lucky to live in this paradoxal but so inspiring and changing part of this country! Thanks for sharing with great skill its beauty!
