[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Friends, I have dug up this image from my limited archive (I have cleaned up most of the RAW stuff to rescue my clogged hard disk) since there is nothing new at the moment to share here.
Here is a note on the species from Wikipedia:

Slender Skimmer
Orthetrum sabina

Orthetrum sabina is a common and widespread dragonfly found all over Asia and parts of Australia, the Middle East and Northern Africa.
The skimmers or perchers and their relatives form the Libellulidae, the largest dragonfly family in the world. It is sometimes considered to contain the Corduliidae as the subfamily Corduliinae and the Macromiidae as the subfamily Macromiinae. Even if these are excluded (as Silsby does) we are left with a family of over 1000 species. With nearly worldwide distribution these are almost certainly the most often seen of the dragonflies.
The genus Libellula is mostly New World, but also boasts one of the few endangered odonates from Japan - Libellula angelina. Many of the members of this genus are brightly colored or have banded wings. The related genus Plathemis includes the whitetails. The genus Celithemis contains several brightly marked species in the southern United States. Members of the genus Sympetrum are called darters (or meadowhawks in North America), and are found throughout most of the world. Several Southern Hemisphere species in the genera Trithemis and Zenithoptera are especially beautiful. Other common genera include Tramea and Pantala.

Hello Ram,

Now you have got yourself a beautiful slender skimmer. Beautiful details and clarity against the blurry background.

Looks like we are living in the same environment with species of dragonflies which look so much alike. Very well done and I like this!

Regards,
Jusni

Hi Ram

What beautiful rich colours you have captured here Ram. They set the dragonfly off wonderfully, making it look an exotic piece of jewellery.

Hi Ram,
it's always great to have a large archive to dig in. ;-)
Nice and colourful close-up with good POV and nice composition.
And the sharpness is pretty good for 1/50sec.
Well done.

Hi Ram,
I know what it means to have to clean hard drive to make some space available...
I like the pose got here, we can appreciate the insect's body with great details.
The symphony of dark greens at the background are very appealing.
Well done and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hello Ram,

Very nice composition. Good focus. Your exposure time is perhaps a little bit too long, we can see a little bit shaking. Very nice colours. And I like the framing.
Cheers,
Mariki
