I've never seen this type of tree - it does rather look a little like flesh, doesn't it? Great capture with an interesting perspective and dof.

Very nice colours in this photo. Thank you for this unusual shot of such a common yet pretty aspect of nature.

Hi Tanja,

Sometimes, it is difficult to capture everything interesting about a subject in one shot. To get what the bark is like, you have to forgoe showing what the tree is like overall.

I like how you have blurred out the background. Yet, the rich color there contributes to the photo.

You might have tried for more sharpness in the foreground, but I know that's hard to get somtimes.

I think it's a nice shot.
