Hi Evelynn, what hits me first in this shot is the saturation, that green - it's awesome. Then I get past that and I start to explore. The reflection is good, yet you've picked up the rock along the shore, under water. I like how you've "chopped off" the top of the mountain, but show it to us in the reflection. The shot is sharp, right from your first (is it a) Balsam, to the conifers at the back. Very nicely packaged.

Last week I had a problem with my monitor, and fixed that on the weekend with a new one, so I could see 21 (or whatever it is) different shades of grey from black to white. I'm looking at your shadow detail now, and it looks great.

Beautiful view Evelynn, and extra special reflections too showing us more of the mountain.
It does look dark in the shadows, but I find it quite natural. The colours are great too,

Gorgious! Well composed with great color. It has an interesting right to left light to dark transition.

Seeing this reminds me of Three Creeks south of Sisters that it resembles. Your title reminds me that I want one of those source of the Metolius River pictures where the water just pours up out of the ground near the base of Black Butte.

Hi Evelynn,
In this case, I think the shade areas are perfect. The details are there and the it does give a good transition from dark to light. I do however feel confined. I would have liked a bit more space in the top so that the tip of this small tree would not touch the frame. I do like the clarity and the wonderful shades of green.

Hi Evelynn

I quite like it as it is...i don't think more details would be needed in the shadows here; i like the lovely contrast it has now.
Sure, i'd love to see another shot with a very wide view of the place, but that's another story :)

But i think this shot is great for what it is meant to show.
The lake is beautiful and it reflects the mountain superbly!
I also like the charming colors everywhere as well as the very nice inclusion of the fir (i think) in the FG which can give a good comparison for the ones in the BG - hence a great sense of depth and size.
Very nice work once again!
