Species: C. carpatica
This plant species is endemic in Carpathians, this means that you can find her in Romania, but also in the north part of Carpatians (in Poland,Slovakia or Cehia). In Romania, in the Red List is a rare plant, but every body can see this small plant near the touristic routes in the mountain. She grows an rocky soil(in fact, in the places were the soil was washed out). It is a small plant, usually with one blue flower. The leaves are small, green, and a little bit glossy.
I don't know what else to write, because I don't have a botanical book .
I apologize for the quality, or artistic impression , but it is one of my first photo, 4 years ago. But I looked in my computer and I didn't found another (acceptable) picture with this specie. So, i tried to modify a little, I blurred around the flower, more intense in the corner.
I promise that this summer(if i will came in Romania) i will try to make a good capture to this plant.
I am not expected to like, I just want to present another part of Romanian flora . |

I love purple and that's why I like this photo. You don't have to make any excuses. I do not see much wrong with this photo. It might be a bit small in size and maybe a bit overexposed on the inside of the flower, but what the heck. It is a beautiful flower and actually a good close-up. The one unopened blossom adds a special touch to this photo. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed your note. When you do come back with other photos of this plant and I see them on the gallery, I am sure I'll add it to my theme called "My purple obsession"
