[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The African Grey Hornbill, Tockus nasutus, is a widespread and common resident breeder in much of sub-Saharan Africa and into Arabia.

This is a bird mainly of open woodland and Savannah. The female lays two to four white eggs in a tree hole, which is blocked off during incubation with a cement made of mud, droppings and fruit pulp. There is only one narrow aperture, just big enough for the male to transfer food to the mother and the chicks.

Hello Everton,
Beautiful photo of this Hornbill in a great pose. In Africa it's a lot more difficult to photograph these birds in the wild. Great natural colours and good sharpness.
Good weekend,
Peter

Hi Everton,

Gee, I wonder how he got his name! That is quite a bill. He is all bill and tail. Wonderful shot of him in a great pose. Very good details of his face, plummage and tail. And nice natural colors. I assume this was taken at the Phoenix Zoo. I should go with you one day for a photography lesson.

Jane

Hello Everton,
A very fine capture of this great Hornbill. Great focus and sharp details. I like its pose too and the composition is excellent. Personally I find it a bit overexposed so I tried a workshop.

Hi Everton.
What a cute bird you have pictured with great skill. Pictured scene is amazing as well as vertical framing and composition of the shot. I like impressive old branch at the FG and nice light BG. Lighting and delicate colours are wonderful and reproduction of all details of the beautiful bird is simply superb. Well done and kind wishes.
Alexei.
