| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I shot this lady in garden of our village-house in Nahac, Western Slovakia. She was very nervous and shy - maybe she did not like to be photographed. No wonder, she was "handicapped" - she lost one eye and part of tail, probably in a fight. Since I did not want to ashame her in front of a worldwide public (actually, I did not know TN at that time...), I chose to take picture of her undamaged part of head and leave an illusion, that the tail is just out of sight.
Please excuse this manipulation of reality...
Image manipulation: Auto Levels worked fine here; slight crop from above and bottom |

Hello Adrian,
welcome aboard TN and my compliments for your first entry! Very interesting perspective, all is sharp, the composition good. I find it excellent that you clearly declare any manipulation, as you did. In your case you did'nt even manipulate in the sense that you did'nt interfere with the picture. That you try to show your object from the best angle is what any photographer does.
ID: the head scales tell me its Lacerta agilis.
My best regards
Dietrich
