[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was an evening around 9.30pm. When I was looking for fresh air and enjoyed my garden, I was surprised with this unique and beautiful butterfly.
I call it "kupu-kupu malam" ("night butterfly" in Bahasa Indonesia the term can be used also for prostitute)

Hi Alain,
you have a very nice Oleander hawk moth (Daphnis nerii here!. Well done, this picture with a flash.

The moth is widely distributed in the tropics and subtropics even in the Americas. Since it is a migrating species you may even encounter them (very rarely) in Western Europe). What an incredible beauty. And an efficient flying machine too. I saw my last one in the Galąpagos Islands, 1'000 km from the continent.

My best regards
Dietrich
