Olive Sparrow

This is what I was told this birds is, although it doesn't look much like the pictures I have researched.
If I am wrong, let me know. I will update immediately.

I took this at the Bentsen Ranch in south Texas also,
it was a beautiful little bird and I was only able to get a few images.

Conical bill
Brown stripes on olive crown
Gray supercilium
Dark eyeline
Plain olive upperparts
Grayish-white underparts
Sexes similar
Juvenile (Summer) buffier than adult with some streaking below

United States range restricted to southern Texas

Similar species:
The Olive Sparrow is the only sparrow with plain olive upperparts. It might be confused with the Green-tailed Towhee but lacks a rusty cap and is much smaller.

Hi Tabatha. I like the light in this one and the pose you have captured. the light has given a golden glow to the shot. good detail in the feathers with a nice POv?DOF. well doen tFS.

I've never seen this bird before so can't help with the ID. But it's a cute bird who seems to like wading in water. An adorable pose. good details and nice natural colors.

Hello Tabatha,
Pretty sharp capture of a species of bird that is not at all a sparrow. Though the frontal POV makes the ID more difficult I would say that this is a Bell's Vireo. You can tell by the eye ring and the faint yellowish tinge to the plumage.
