[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I caught this bird sunbathing on one of the first 'warm' days where the sun decided to show itself. In fact, I was torn between taking a photo of the sun or the bird - in the end, I caught a little of both.

The twigs can be annoying, but this fellow stayed so still that I walked by him twice before I noticed him. There had been a pretty little finch I had my eye on, but he was so skittish that I couldn't get a bead on him, so I settled for this one instead. In the end, he made the better photo anyway because the lighting was better. I love the shadows and the light - it reminds me of spring - of winter letting go (the darkness) and spring bursting forth (hence the light). Spring, I know, is coming!

Hello Kathy,
Beautifully captured image of this sparrow. The details and colors are marvelous, thanks for sharing Kathy.

Kathy,
Very beautiful photo of the bird sunbathing, it does look like it's enjoying the sun. Nice warm color and good composition, could have been a little sharper.

Kathy,
Very good shot of this male English Sparrow. Good composition with nice natural colours. I like the twigs myself, they seem to add depth to the photo.
I agree with Waylim, the focus is just a little soft. I played in workshop to see what I could come up with, without sharpening too much, which is a thing I have the tendency to do. Nice job! TFS
