Super shot Bob, they are in a great V flight formation and as you say, it is very hard to do justice to what the eye is seeing, with so many birds flying at once! Wow, YOU are the messenger of spring this year, it is such a warm feeling to know they are at my door... I like the "noise removal" effect, mainly on the birds in the sky, it gives a nice drawing feeling to the picture. I also like the very low hill at the bottom of the frame, you give the sky all the space, it is very nice. It's a pleasure to look at your picture and this one is another great one. You are terribly adventurous, I can imagine Jane's face having to wait for you with the gear on! Thanks for the smile,
Francine

Hello Bob,
Beautiful view of the Palouse landscape with the Geese flying over and the odd patches of snow left on the ground. Excellent POV and I like the flight formation of the Geese. Very well done!
Most of our roads are two-lane here and often when we see an interesting bird it is impossible to stop as somebody is coming up behind - very frustrating!
TFS and have a nice weekend, Ulla

Hi Bob,
Nice shot of this flying flock. The birds at different distances add interest and depth to the image. I like the low horizon composition.
You did well with focus.
I tried my luck and was hopefully building skills yesterday shooting inflight birds at the Monticello Swan, geese, and duck viewing area on the Mississippi. What a riot that was. Tfs and have a great weekend. Richard

Hi Bob,
I bet you heard them before you saw them! Poor Jane, she must be terrified by your photographic antics while driving. I can just picture hundreds of these in the sky. A wonderful sight of all these geese in various positions - especially since we have a view of the ground with the snowy patches.

Hi Bob
A really evocative shot - it feels like spring here today and this shot really shows it is arriving.
Unfortunately the scenario you describe seems rather familiar to me! :)

What a nice land-sky-birdscape combination Bob, that snow patch on the low hill really makes this picture a great composition. TFS my friend.
Cheers,

Hi Bob,
I am pretty sure the actual scene would have been a wonderful one with these Canadian Geeses flying off together in all direction. The image does do justice, I feel, in bringing that feeling to mind. Outstanding shot with a charming view of the birds and the Palouse. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Like I say, TN's need that bumper sticker: "Caution, This vehicle makes sudden stops for photo ops!" Sounds like in your case the warning might have come too late. We too host thousands of Canadian geese and the roar of wings and honking geese can be amazing.

Hi bob,
I really like this one, having all these geese flying in different directions over a very peaceful landscape.
The line of birds in the sky with the line of the ground make a nice V (horizontal) also.
Well done!

Bob,
I liked seeing you as a car race driver; but I feel you should stick to photograpy.
(DRIVING IS NOT YOUR "FORTE". Ha, ha.)By the way, am not knowledgeable on or about U-Tube.
For example, take this image.
EXCELLENT REGISTER!!! Better still are your notes!!!
One of them "HAS" arrived here in Calgary. Shall "post" it just for you.

Howdy Bob,
Wonderful spring scene with the geese on liftoff. Here they are already pairing up and fighting over nesting sites. It looks as if all you have for snow is the big drifts. Thanks my friend for sharing this nice scene.

Hello Bob
The palouse is a remarkable place. You are so lucky to have this amazing spot close at hand.
This is a classic shot ,with the snow melted and receding, and the geese in flight.
The colours are beautiful.Shots like this are revving me up in anticipation.

Hi bob,
Your note has a lot of information. May be a sign of spring the birds are flying over the Palouse. I like the division of the scenery, the palouse, the birds and the sky which is an asset to the composition. There is a good contrast between the colors. have a nice day.
Pierre
