Inversion and long-term freeze can create incredible things. It is not comfortable to take photos in such weather, because the cold and humid air easily gets through all layers of clothing and quickly drives out all warmth of body.
Holding a camera and carrying a metal tripod with bare fingers benumbed by cold is a cherry on the top.
But the prize of taking an interesting photo (and a hot tea on return to home) beats it all.
