This makes the heart of an old naturalist beat a little faster!
This is a superb habitat shot in a great composition with the pines on the slope in the FG and a fine view of the wetlands beyond. Must be fantastic when the spring and summer arrive.

Hi Bob,
a great POV to show the different types of habitat in this place. I am glad to hear that only people with special permits are allowed access here, although i wonder how many actually pay attention to this rule. We could do with doing the same to some of the decreasing 'wild' places left over here...human activity in this country is reaching an unsustainable level.

Very nice pines with some standing water in between Bob, the trees in the foreground gave much depth to the landscape, producing a pleasant effect. TFS and cheers my friend...

Hi Bob,

You are so lucky having this on your doorstep - I've probably said that before! A great shot; framing the smaller tree in the distance with the larger trees in the foreground. This helps create a strong link between the fore, middle and background. This was a very well seen shot. The light is also beautiful.

Hello Bob,
This looks like a lovely place for wildlife!
Excellent view through the pines to the wetlands, great sharpness and beautiful colours too. You say that 'to trespass on foot is not allowed', how else can you go there? We're spoilt in Sweden has we have right of access everywhere except in the breeding season for certain areas.

The point of view between the trees is an asset to the composition. It takes our eyes towards the horizon. The light brings out the colors. A place to admire and enjoy nature. Have a nice day.
