[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Walking along the trail at Elk Neck State Park on this warm day, we were running into bugs everywhere. On a flowering shrub, several kinds of insects - bees, wasps, butterflies, and beetles were going crazy over the nectar abundance!

Then there were a few bugs that were about 1 inch long, bright orange in colour, with a white flower pattern on them. The flower camouflage was cool, but I've no idea why the rest of the bug was orange! The patterned body does make it harder to see this bug candy!

If you have seen anything like this and happen to know what it is, please let me know!

Kaustubh,
I can't help you identify your insect but I really like the shot. Very sharp and detailed with great color scheme.
Your right, it really does blend in with the flower but the orange just seems to be out of place. I wonder if the bug thinks so too?
