A very good portait of this wild animal!
I always feel a tremendous guilt when I find out about endangered animals! I should be more proactive in conservation!

You have captured the nature of this dog! He has strong character! It looks as if he will not give up without a fight!

Good sharp exposure with excellent accompanying details. You have mastered the strong light well!

Didn't spot one during my Kruger wilderness trip. It is a shame.
Pity the ears are just on the edge, otherwise a spectacular image.

Yip, you got the priced one here. Last time I saw any wild dogs in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park was ±15 years ago and consider this given the fact that I go there at least once a month. So this was an extremely rare sighting.

I have to agree with Annick about clipping the ears, otherwise this is a great composition. You did well to control the exposure as I know too well how unrelenting the Zululand sun can be even as early as 10h00 in the morning. The colours are very natural and your timing was excellent with the slightly opened mouth revealing those canines.
