A buzzing honeybee preparing to land on a flower to suck nectar. Hope you like it. My first try at shooting macro of a flying insect.

Hi Victor

It is difficult enough shooting successful macros of stationary insects, but so much more of moving insects and here you have raised the difficulty level even a notch higher with this in-flight honey bee. Thus, being your first attempt at this discipline of photography makes your success so much more of note.

The composition is fine and the dark BG worked well to emphasise and compliment the subject(s). While the bright pink flower brings excellent colour to the shot it also brings focus that shows the destiny of the bee. The bee itself is priceless with those flapping wings captured in such a way that shows the rapid and continuous movement. As the title implies, I can almost hear the "buzzzzz" generated by those wings. Interesting to note the payload of pollen this guy is already carrying with him. The only small nit (sorry) is the tiny areas of OE found on the top of the bee and a couple of sporadic pockets on the flower.

Great work and TFS.
Regards
Loo

Congrats Victor.

Yes it's my dream also to shoot macro of flying insects. Anyway your shot has gone above the descriptivity of human words and passed beyond the scope of mortal reproach. :)

Subhayan.

Hallo Victor
You have managed to capture a very special in action in flight shot of this bee. The details of the big black eyes are clearly visible. I also like how the act of movement are displayed in the shot. The lovely pink coloured flower lay emphasise on the detail and the colour of the bee and is a good combination. I like the way you have captured the flower in its three stages of its life circle. The unopened blossom buds, the opened flower in all its glory and the dead flowers blurred out in the background. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Hello Victor, Very nice shot and very difficult of a flying bee. You have done it well. I tried many times but only blank picture. Well done Ganesh

Excelente enfoque y profundidad. A destacar el gran dinamismo creado por lo bien captado del batir de las alas.
