[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I dedicate this Chaffinch to my father NGlen and to all the others of you at TN who take such wonderful bird shots. After a long day trekking through Dartmoor in a miserable drizzle I sat in the car and had some lunch. I decided to try my hand at a spot of bird photography and I can sincerely say that I do not know where my father gets his patience.
Its not the best Chaffinch shot ever taken but its the best of the bunch and they can only get better ..

You are a good chip off the old block there Jai! You have that kind of cheery confidence that gives us all a smile...and you do indeed have a small genetic code inside which says..."Yes we Can"! How nice.....I bow to you both!

Another very nice Chaffinch photo.

Well done these are not the easiest of little birds to photograph as i've proven to myself many times!

Not a bad pic at all you've done well.

Witaj Jai_glenny,
Beautiful dick.Splendid colours. Bright eyes.

Hi Jai,

Nice capture of the Chaffinch and excellent effort for your first bird post, nicely composed with good detail, great pose and good natural colours, I've no patience and normally rely on the odd lucky shot when I can creep up on the odd one and get a few lucky shots.

Muy buena captura, no es habitual fotografiarlos desde arriba.
Un saludo

Hello Jai
I saw this shot of yours the other day as I was shutting down the comp.
In my bluntly honest opinion this is a stunning picture..These damned male chaffinches are the hardest thing to photograph..I think its the colour graduation between the body that makes it so difficult..But you have got a perfectly sharp picture with fantastic genuine colurs in a lovely pose!!
All under a rainy sky without the currant bun helping you!!
A nice dedication to your dad as well.
All the best
paul
