Hi Goldy,
Like Aleks already mentioned, pity the Gharial is a little out of focus and also a bit over exposed.
The square composition and the lines of the stones and the Gharial are very good.
Perfect note you did write.
Best regards, Harry

Cool looking crocodile Goldy, I enjoy the composition including the diagonal line of the bank, and animals curved aspect.
Excellent notes on this also.
Well done & have a great weekend,
Howard

Hello Goldy,
If this were in focus it would have been an excellent shot, but as it is one can see that this is a Gharial taken from a fine POV and pose with the dried mud on its back. But this definitely worth seeing as it is rare on TN and a threatened species and as it is a reptile it is a a fine tribute to our friend Bayram.
Thanks for sharing this,
Ivan

Hello Goldy, tfs this wonderful shot of a rare animal. I think the composition is very good, quite interesting. As you say, it would be nicer if the focus is a bit better, but it is a wonderful shot. Nice pov, and interesting write up as well.tfs Rgds Necip

Grande cattura, molto bella la composizione e come hanno già suggerito altri da migliorare la nitidezza. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hello Goldy,
Great shot at JCNP ! I kept on looking for them in Ramganga river but failed to pick up any! I am not sure whether they still in critically endangered list; however the website http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/ReptilesAmphibians/Facts/FactSheets/Gharial.cfm & your note say so: and I have updated myself ! Hi Goldy,
A nice capture of this endangered species. Lovely notes. Good capture even if it was far away and heavy cropping. Nice dedication. Thanks a lot for sharing.

This capture is better than your earlier one, Goldy.
The demarkation between water and dry earth is distinct in this shot. The details on the subject are also clear.
This picture is from your archive and I am sure that given another opportunity, you would do a better job with this subject.

Hi Goldy,
Very appropriately dedicated to Bayram. A very nice shot of the Gharial. A little lack of color due to over exposure may be. The POV seems to have helped in capturing the underwater parts of the Gharial as well. A little out of focus but I know that this picture was taken from quite some distance and keeping that into consideration, it is a great job done.

Hi Goldy,
this is an animal that I never knew existed and your note is an interesting read. The focus is soft as already mentioned by others but the thing that is most off is the exposure and seeing that there must of been lots of light you could of sped up the shutter speed or stopped down the lens to say f/8 or even f/11 either of these things would helped. The canon S2 IS is a very good point and shoot camera and you can see that in Luc's work here on TN. Thanks for sharing.I tried a workshop modification on this photo to se what could be done to help it out and I hope you do not mind. Bob
