Hello,
this is the view south west from the southern tip of Worbarrow Tout, a small headland of rock that forms the eastern end of Worbarrow Bay. I was here looking for a set of fossilised Dinosaur prints, but once again i could find no trace of them, so the search continues. I did however find this small, almost perfectly triangular pool of sea water set into the limestone rocks which i though was quite interesting and made for a nice foreground.

I've put a quick snap of Worabrrow Bay into the workshop to give you an overall view of the Bay as a whole and whereabouts i was sat.

shot in RAW, curves, converted to JPEG, resized and sharpened

Good evening, Paul!

I like looking at this magnificient foreground. Oh, I don't want to say that the rest isn't interesting to me, no, the whole picture is marvellous, but the shapes of the rocks are just wonderful. I imagine these shapes cut out and standing alone...

Kind regards

Markus

Geometry in nature now thats a thing.. I must have been looking down on you when you where taking this as I was trudging along the cliff tops with Emily. Looks like you got some better shots than I managed though. Look forward to swapping tales in the morning my friend.

Hi Paul!

You chose the fg well for sure, the little triangle is perfect just like the stone with the moss that looks so fine. Here I think this is more the subject and the bay just frames or so. What else could I say, the title says it all!
The ws would be worth a standalone post too. TFS both images!

Best regards,
Andor

Hi paul,
Very beautiful sea scape with very nice exposure and color. The image is very crisp and has very natural colors like the golden rocks getting the color frm the sun light.

Great composition!

As I have said before, this is a very English way of looking at the coastline. I have seen it in some of your publications which Mike Warnes was kind to send me...Interesting how there is a provincial way of seeing a particular method of imaging...very nice as always..

Hey Paul,
Really nice shot mate, I love the lines you've created here, the detail is superb, excellent POV, and the vertical crop is perfect for this landscape, all the best Cheers Rick :)

You captured wonderful foreground rocks and action in this shot Paul. I have to say again that there is something about your skies that bother me. It appears to be a sunny day with blue skies but there isn't any "life" in the sky for some reason. The "white" clouds are somewhat dull and the over-polarized bit in the upper right corner is a bit distracting. Perhaps instead of using a grad filter you could try bracketing and combining the images on the computer. Your fore and mid grounds are so strong, I just feel I'l like the sky and background to balance it a bit more. It is a super composition though and I do appreciate the geometry.

Hello Paul,
Outstanding piece of work here my friend. The composition is great and the depth of field, exposure and focus is spot on. I have been meaning to ask you, Your passion for landscapes is easily seen with your great results. The seashore ones are always outstanding, so here lays the question. What draws you to the seashore, time and again?
Your Friend
Rick

good dof and composition, nice foreground and good sky

Hi Paul,
another fab landscape shot!
Good to see you got out in the sun. Forecast said we'd have thunder and rain for most of the day... we didn't have even a drop!
A very good eye you have to spot these geometrical shapes in the rock.
I think if you hadn't have used a polariser then we'd see more of a reflection in the triangle pool and it would stand out in a more eye-catching way, though I'm no expert on this type of thing.
Impeccable composition and a great POV.
Superb colours.
I like the sense of speed and power you have captured in the sea. Would this have been even more so if you'd waited for the surf to come in a bit more? I'm only nit-picking because I may be going camping in Dorset soon and am going to have a try at some landscapes but I want to know a bit about what I'm doing before I go :-)
Sharp and crisp with great clarity.
Very well done Paul!

Joe

Hi Paul. You made the most of the good sunlight today. Much better then the weather men said. well seen this pool looks like it could have been man made , but we know nature in more clever then us. very fine seascape with great colours in the rocks and sea. i like the patterns on the rocks made by the sea weed. well done TFS.
Nick..

An amazing shot of this beautiful landscape, Paul!
It's so tranquil, yet so full of life!
Cheers!

Paul, I had seen this picture but forgot to come back to it... and this is another great one. I love the big chunks of rock at the foreground, with their angular edges and shapes, wow! The wide angle gives it a strong perspective leading directly in the breaking waves. I agree with Evelynn though, the sky in the background might be a little too dark yet, as it is grey and dark, it is also a messenger of bad weather, that makes it a very strong composition. Love it! Thank you,

Francine

Hello Paul,
A great capture of not only a fine land/seascape but of an interesting rock cleavage phenomenon. I didn't know that limestone splits naturally with the cleavage lines almost at right to each other, the triangular pool illustrates this well and is well portrayed in situ.
Thanks for sharing this,
Ivan

Hello Paul

Hellao Paul,
Interesting composition of your picture. I like the geometrical character of the lower part in contrast to the smoother sea and sky part. Lovely colours too and good framing.
Have a nice evening

Hi Paul.
It is funny that titles of our shots are almost similar but subjects are absolutely different. I prefer yours :). Superb work. Great scene, POV and strong vertical cropping. Amazing set of clean and rich colours and, as usual, razor sharpness and details of all stunning pictured objects: rocks, wawes, clouds, sky and shore. Bravo and many thanks for pleasure.
Alexei.
