| Also called Ground Squirrel. This appeared in the middle of a group of walkers. Instead of disappearing again it tried to join us. t became apparent that something was trying to drag it back into the hole. It started to scream . A friend gently flicked it out with a stick and it fled. Then a weasel or stoat pushed its head out of the hole and it disappeared quickly. |

Hi Phil, quite the story, no wonder it wanted to join your group. I like the composition you have of this Souslik, and the colour is very good. I thought the focus might be a little off, almost like you caught the ground but missed the squirrel. Your depth of field covers for this partially. I thought we might also be able to enhance it a bit with software, so I've gone off to play to see if I could provide you with another option.
