Hi Claudine!

Not only the sky, but also the whole picture is particular. The effect the duality between the dramatic sky and the wonderfully contrasted snow produces is just marvellous. I also like the fact that one can't know if this is a huge mountain or just a small snowdrift. And in fact, it's absolutely unimportant. What counts here is the beautiful sky contrasting with the pure white of the snow. From my point of view, this is a very valuable picture, well blanced in its composition, very pleasant to look at.

Hi Claudine.
This almost looks like a 3D render. I find it very fascinating.Such a sharp contrast between the sky and snow, it stands right out to me.
I would have taken many of this myself.

A lovely shot. The snow on the mountain has a fabulous clarity and the powdersnow in the sky gives this photo an wonderful contrast. Beautiful colors. There was at the top sometimes windy conditions? Have a nice weekend and TFS Bob

I like the saturation through the polarizer.
The snow whites do not result in blown highlights, on the contrary the soft light generates a wonderful texture and structure.

We are known for wonderful skies in Arizona but I have never seen one like this. The different shades are marvelous. The contrast against the snow - which you captured perfectly - is spectacular.

First moment I have thought that these are snow-drifts near your house :))). My brother live in Toronto and sent me few spring pictures. Only when I have read you note I have understood that I am mistaken. In any case amazing shot. The snow reproduction, exposure of the image, beautifulness of the sky are outstanding. J'aime beaucoup la composition de cette image. Cette neige immaculée est d'un pur blanc et ce ciel
cache quelques couleurs d'un arc en ciel un peu effacé!

La réflexion de la lumière sur la neige fait ressortir la beauté des couleurs du ciel. Le détails des nuages est un atout à la composition. Le sujet est bien cadré. Le paysage donne une sensation de tranquillité. Bonne journée.

Très beau cliché. Curieusement ce violent contraste entre le ciel et la neige ne dérange pas l'oeil, il laisse à la fois toute la place à la neige texturée ainsi qu'au dégradé du bleu du ciel. De plus les proportions inhabituelles (50/50) ne sont pas un handicap pour cette photo. Très joli. JYB

This is a change to see a landscape from you :) I like this very much, the exposure on the snow is a little high but that really gives the image some impact. The snow looks crisp and fresh and provides a great contrast to the strange and wonderful sky. Beautiful deep blue, and as you say it looks somewhat unreal. Hope all is well with you.

Great capture mf, I like it alot :)
This "particular" sky makes the shot Excellent...
And I think you added just the right amount of contrast too. The snow is very well exposed, with F/16 giving great depth, and a 3D feel.
So you're a skier then..Watch out for those trees ;-}}
