Will be a strawberry!

Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Magnoliopsida
Order: Rosales
Family: Rosaceae
Subfamily: Rosoideae
Genus: Fragaria
Species: F. vesca
Fragaria vesca, commonly known as Woodland Strawberry occurs naturally throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Other names for this species include the Wild Strawberry, European Strawberry and Alpine Strawberry the latter usually in reference to the cultivated varieties such as Fragaria vesca 'Semperflorens'.
Like all strawberries, it is in the family Rosaceae; its fruit is more technically known as an accessory fruit, in that the fleshy part is derived not from the plant's ovaries (achenes) but from the peg at the bottom of the bowl-shaped hypanthium that holds the ovaries. All strawberry species have a base haploid count of seven chromosomes; Fragaria vesca is diploid, having two pairs of these chromosomes for a total of 14.Typical habitat is along trails and roadsides, embankments, hillsides, stone and gravel laid paths and roads, meadows, young woodlands, sparse forest , woodland edges and clearings. Often plants can be found where they do not get sufficient light to form fruit. Spread fast by runners and can form dense mats. The fruit are eaten and the achenes in this way spread by numerous mammals and birds.
In the workshop the place and the full plant (i publish that because someone maybe could think that is a cultivated plant!!!!)

Hi Luciano!

Awesome details and colors, and very good shadows. The ws is very useful to know what I see in macro. The ws BTW would've even been great for a standalone post! TFS both!

Best regards,
Andor

Ciao Luciano, you make this flower look huge. Very excellent macro showing the inside of this flower in such good detail and excellent colour. Very nicely done.

Thanks, John

Hi Luciano,
A lovely closeup capture of this beautiful flower. Excellent details and a fine composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Bonjour Luciano,

points uniquement, pas de temps.
Superbe photo.
Bonne journee,

Hallo Luciano
This is a beautiful close-up. It looks like the underwater plants in the ocean. The details of the flower are eye-catching, and the colour and texture of the anthers inside the flower is presented well. A sunny and bright photo. A most likeable image with the pollen dust rounding of this special sight to perfection. Thank you very much for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Such an expertly executed, beautiful macro-detail of a fine Fragaria flower Luciano, you've exposed the white petals perfectly, not an easy accomplishment in such detail studies, my friend. The stamens stand out nicely in fine focus and high detail, giving the composition a fine 3-D effect. TFS indeed!

Buenos colores.
Un abrazo: Josep Ignasi.

Hello Luciano,
So you were before me to post the Wild Strawberry! Well done! This is a lovely close-up of the flower. Those in the workshop look slightly different, more chunky than our plants. Anyway, this is an excellent macro showing sharp details and lovely colours.
Many thanks, Ulla
