[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Spring is coming.
There are more and more flowers on the squares, parks etc.
And today the effect of my play with macro shots.
This is Prunella vulgaris (Common Self-heal, głowienka in Polish).
Kingdom Plantae
Division Magnoliophyta -- flowering plants
Class Magnoliopsida
Subclass Asteridae
Order Lamiales
Family Lamiaceae -- mints.
Self-heals are low-growing plants, and thrive in moist wasteland and grass, spreading rapidly to cover the ground. Their common name derives from their use in herbal medicine.
The plant reaches 20 cm height and its flowers are 8-15 mm big.

I must admit that there is a strong touch of the feminine in this extremely cheerful image, Ania.
What I mean is that it is your feminine sensibilities and feminine sense of aesthetics that impelled you to shoot this delicate plant/flower the way you did it.
The colours, shapes and contrasts in this picture are sheer poetry in graphic form.
What else can be said?
It is not easy to appraise this image in stereotypes.

Hi Ania,
Wonderful close-up shot and the backlighting creates a fantastic creative effect here. The bristles on the leaves and petals looks beautiful and the image is neat and sharp. Lovely colours and lighting with perfect DOF. Excellent POV to portray it and very nicely composed. Kudos.
