Hi Rachel,
Warm welcome to TN!! Hope you find this site as helpful as I have :) I like that your subject is slightly off center, subjects should mostly not be dead center unless you have a good reason. Your depth of field (DOF) was well chosen as the stigma is in focus as well as the petals.
I would chosen a larger crop so I get the entire flower instead of losing some of the petals.
Keep them coming!

What fabulous tones of red! And sharply focussed too, with the background nicely thrown out-of-focus. Those little blobs of water add a bit more interest and the bright yellow in the foreground gives it all depth.
