[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went up to Magee Marsh today and took this shot of a Canadian Goose as it was flying low over the water. I saw plenty of mated pairs with their goslings tagging along.
There were a lot of birders out this weekend too. The parking lot was so filled up, it reminded me of WalMart the day before Christmas. I never realized just how many people are interested in bird watching until I started coming up to the marsh.

Hello Ron. Nice sharp image of this bird in flight. Stunning wings spread well in good detail. Well done and thanks for sharing. Best regards. Jusni

Hello Ron,

Sharp in-flight capture of the Canadian. This is one type of shot that I have not yet had much opportunity to master. I notice that your file size is fairly small - you can now post up to 300k. Well done.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Ron,

Nice capture of this goose in flight, cught it in a nice pose while it was calling.

Don't know if they were doing it in Ohio too, but yesterday was the day for the Illinois state bird count, all my birding friends were out chasing birds, might explain the large numbers of birders that you saw. I had arranged a visit to a fantastic prairie restoration, couldn't get anyone to go with me, everyone was busy with their bird stuff.

By the way, since I hang out with birders, I have to correct the bird's name, it's a Canada Goose, not a Canadian Goose, that always gets birders feathers fluffed. :-)

Thanks,
John

Mom told me back in 1995 when I went back for dad's passing, that the Canadian Geese had practically taken over the shorelines and inland around Cleveland and suburbs. They did look a bit out of place in the city...a city already tired of pigeons for many years. But when Seen at the Marsh it makes quite the difference. It is this kind of backdrop which is much more natural for them. Magee is a virtual wonderland of nature. Very nice image of this one in flight Ron. Hope you have a BLESSED SUNDAY!
Bob

Wonderful capture - I know how hard it is to pull off a shot like this. The photo is sharp, and the wings spread in flight shows the subtleness of colors in their body. Just lovely, this capture.

Nice capture of a Canadian Goose in flight. Pretty good panning. Nicely done.

Hi Ron,
a very fine in-flight shot, only a small nit, I think it need
some more space in the front but otherwise its very good.
I prefer this type of in-flight shot, taken with a quite long
shutter speed for in-flight 1/300 to 1/500 as you did here,
you did well with the panning, the BG is nicely OOF and the
body is sharp with the wing tips in nice motion blur.
Very well done.
