Hi all,
This was shot at Omkar hills yesterday.This is a typical position of praying mantis when its waits for its prey.
Mantises are notable for their hunting abilities. They are exclusively predatory, and their diet usually consists of living insects, including flies and aphids; larger species have been known to prey on small lizards, frogs, birds, snakes, and even rodents. Most mantises are ambush predators, waiting for prey to stray too near.

A fine specimen of Martian you have captured with your camera.:)Excellent focus and sharpness. The halo does give it a supernatural look.I liked the POV as well as the clear green background.

A nice capture of this mantis. But it would been more better if the left grabber was also included in the frame. Still then a very good capture with sharp details and nice POV. Thanks a lot for sharing.
