[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi folks , I came up a bit dry yesterday for photo's , unlike this Robin that I found who was all wet from its recent bathing.

Not wanting to offend this birds dignity too much I took two shots and moved on , this is my favorite.

To all the Mothers out there , I wish you a happy Mothers Day , and to everyone else , thanks for stopping in.

regards

Art

Excellent sharp details and very nice colors.

Hi Art,
you know that despite what your camera says ,what your eye actually sees so often is the reality of things. Our eyes are much more advanced that any camera can ever hope to be and even in dull light conditions we see with more colour saturation than the camera can. This photo has a very flat looking colour to it and though the details are superb the colour just falls short somehow.I like this little harbinger of spring as each and every year of my life I,m happy to see them back.Art I do not know your camera but if there are some adjustments that can be made for colour saturation give then a try.I very much like robins and I see them as a true harbinger of this season, that and they are sweet to listen to,love 'em.Thanks for giving us this view of -well a little sweetie. Bob

Hello Art, this is your best yet...the character of this bird shines through, excellent timing and a fabulous composition. The details are spot on, eye contact is also excellent. tfs regards h

I love the wing-power in this Art. You also have a nice DOF to go with them. Well done. Trevor

Hi Art,excellent moment to take and perfect quality, very interesting note too,my best compliments,Luciano

Art,

I think all of us have those days where we spend a lot of time outside chasing that one perfect shot but in the end, nothing comes out of it. I can totally relate here :)
Regarding the colors.... When I look at this shot, I can tell it was taken on a cloudy, sunshine-less day. With not many green leaves in the background, this is what you'll get. I don't think it is anything bad - the picture shows how it was in reality. I find that if you want great colors that have a 'wow' factor to them, you need good lighting. So far in my experience, no flash was able to replace good, natural lighting. I don't mean full sun - a bit of light clouds works the best as full sun washes out all the colors form a picture. These are just my opinions but you have to note that I am still learning AND have a lot to learn :-)
So in the end, I think this is a great shot that represent the natural lighting conditions on that particular day. No problems there!

Best Regards,

Martin

Hello Art,
very sharp image of a head on pose on the beautiful bird!
good colour and superb details in the shot
well done and many thanks
best regards
Tony

hello Art

i love the colour chast of both images, your original and Bob's
workshop, on your image maybe because the feathers
where wet that your camera gied to you that colour tones,
in my opinion (and i can be in error too) the colours
that Bob gived to the Robin's chest it is more like the natural colours,
