Hi Sue, these guys love to hide in the tree among those branches. I saw one last year when I was up your way. This guy gave you a great clear pose though. Your technique worked, pushing it up to ISO 800. It seems to me that the Canon is a lot more forgiving with noise than the Nikon (at least with the 200D). Noise is not bad here, and you must have done some bracing, and holding your breath etc. because the shot doesn't show any camera shake. Well done on this rare bird.

Hello Sue,
A fine capture of the green race of the Figbird with good sharpness, pose and taken from a good POV that shows the features well.
I couldn't get a good shot of this one,not as good as this when we were in NSW but got a better one of the yellow race in the north.

sue - a nice capture! good composition. The figbird looks like it has a mask on! I have never seen one - but i'll keep am eye out.
