Hi Richard,
Hope you are fully recovered and your helth is OK.
You did a very good photo. Color tones are wonderfull. Very good image quality with well used DOF rendering clear details on the whole depth of the image. Light is nice and the sparkling from birds eye bring more life in the image.
Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Richard
Sorry to hear that you hadn't been well but glad you are back on your feet again...and taking photos! This is a lovely parrot and you have captured the colours well with good focus on the eye especially.
Cheers
Sue
Hi Richard
It is the hospital food that takes care of the healing process. Your body knows what's good for it, so rather than being exposed to the hospital food the body heals quicker so you can go home and eat regular food again (chuckle). On a serious note though, it is good to hear that you are better and to see that you are posting again.
Thanks for sharing this lovely bird that consist of a red bill, green, greener, and very green feathers, and also some dark green feathers (chuckle2). It has lovely details, good saturation of colours, and spot-on exposure. This actually brings me to your request in the workshops you have posted concerning the extremely bright backlight which created the under exposed photo. Normally the best one can do is to get an overall reading (not spot) which include some backlight and some of the dark subject, but that still does not necessarily guarantee the result you desire. Post processing does present some solution and therefore I have done a workshop on your underexposed photo to show what can be done.
Anyway, well done.
Regards
Loot

Hope you are keeping well now, Richard.
This is a beautiful picture of a Parrot. The colour of the bird merges well with the colours of the leaves and makes a fine compositionas a whole.
TFS and regards.

Well, from a distance this looks like an abstract painting Richard, but on a second glance one sees the perfectly camouflaged parrot happily engaged in its element! Thank you for this colorful close up my friend.
Cheers,

Hi Rick,
What a beauty she is! Caught her in a very natural pose, very nice composition, focus and color. Your composition reminds me of something that Audubon might have painted if he'd seen this bird.
Thanks,
John

This is truly a work of art, especially with the composition. Not only is the photo excellent, but so are your notes. I do hope you're feeling more like yourself now. The texture here is awesome, pose is unusual (higher points for that), and I love the fact it is in a natural habitat. Nicely done!

Hi Rick, just read your note, and looked at your shot of course. Sorry to hear you were down, but glad to see you're back on your feet. You need to take care of yourself, and don't worry about catching up, take your time and make sure you're feeling well. I can't remember what I ate when I was last in a hospital, but then they say you forget the painful things in life.
On to the shot. It's a new one for me, when I first looked at the thumbnail (quickly) I thought it was a male Eclectus. Anyway, thanks for the introduction. She's looking good, and you caught her eating. She's well positioned filling your crop corner to corner. Depth of field is good, with great focus on the bird and her environment and the colour and detail seen on her are excellent.
Thanks, and take care, John

Hello Richard
I can see from this image why the amazing coloured plumage works as camo for this bird.
It really blends in well here with it's environment.
you have managed excellent POV and DOF.
The parrot is well focused with lovely plumage detail.
TFS
