Hi Joe,
this is what I call a macro-shot.
You manage your Sigma 180 macro with great skill.
This picture is sharp with very good details and the DOF i also
great for this close-up but best of all we do not see any reflections in the cell and that's difficult to avoid when you shooting eyes of a dragonfly.
I'm really impressed, maybe it's time to take a lesson or two o you. :-))

Well Joe. To be honest this is the best macro i have seen on Tn for a very long time ,and also your best so far but i am sure there is still more to come from you. The detail and colour is first class. I know just how hard it is to get this type of picture so very well done .

Going back to your yesterday's post was irresistible after the very first glance at the thumbnail, Joe.
Since I have seen your latest posting first, I must say that this one is certainly more daring than your latest. Here, every cell of the Dragon's compound eye is crystal clear.
Other details on the face are astoundingly sharp and crisp.
I think you have set up some kind of record on TN in terms of the size of a macro of this category and type.
Needless to say, it is the work of very high professional standard.
