Your gallery on TN is really amazing. Most of your shot were done with the fantastic 400mm f/2.8. So yout got fantastic sharpness and bokeh I like this metallic blue bird. I com back also from a trip in the Kruger (100km higher than you). So I can see it is very common but it is often on ground. It's very difficult to shoot it on a tree. For this one we can regret the small branches in the front of the bird. However I like the framing and the open space on the right of the picture.

Weer en prachtig exemplaar. Behalve de schitterende kleuren in hun veren hebben deze spreeuwen ook nog zo'n onweerstaanbaar oog. De contrasten in deze foto zijn erg mooi. En natuurlijk ook de scherpte. Een beauty!

Well done, Annick. I love the bird, especially the blue with that piercing yellow eye. The addition of that stick really adds an element for informal balance in the frame.

Wonderful shot of this beautiful looking Glossy Starling in a fabulous pose. Very impressive sharpness and colours with perfect lighting and exposure. That orange eye looks huge and expressive. Great surrounding and setting and I like the way it looks back over its shoulder. Excellent DOF and a well chosen low POV to portray it. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
