| I followed this chaffinch up a very small stream as it was picking grubs up between the stones. This was the best shot out of fifteen, as it quickly made it's way between the rocks. My cover was just a few small trees as I followed from one tree to another. Unfortunately I couldn't get very near so I have had to crop quite a lot and also some sharpening. |

Hi Ian,
i'm forever trying to capture garden birds-it really does take lots of patience-& coffee!
You have nice DOF here, and the chaffinch is in a good pose-maybe an increase in contrast would highlight the subject a little more?
Anyhow, nice attempt.
