Range Comments: This species is widespread throughout the Western Ghats of India. It has an altitudinal range of 200-1,500m asl.
Biogeographic Realm(s): Indomalayan
Distribution Status: Native India


Population- It is a locally common species. There are no quantitative population data available.

Habitat and Ecology- It is associated with riparian and forest edge habitats, in open and lightly degraded tropical moist semi-evergreen forest. There is little information on breeding biology or larval development.
Biomes: Terrestrial, Freshwater

Major Threats - General loss of riparian and forest edge habitat by localized agriculture (small scale farming) is a major threat.
