Calle Lilies
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I captured this image while visiting the Termas de Papallacta Spa, about 40 miles east of Quito. Many Calle Lilies were planted around the property and I found myself looking at them often. The flowers hadn't quite opened up all the way yet, giving them a sort of sexy, curvy look. Most of the lilies were planted around the sides of the buildings, so the backdrop wasn't pleasing or interesting. I found a pair of lilies that were lit by the morning sun with a background that was still in shadow. This particular pair of flowers seems to be dancing or courting each other. I thought black and white would do this composition the most justice...giving it more of an artistic touch. |

Hi Stephen,
wonderful composition in B/W. Interesting pov and good contrasts. I love calle lilies, anyway.
