Muskoxes in the rain
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Dutch] |
| Maybe not a special photo in the sense of artistic performance. But this was very special. In Dovre Norway there are Muskoxes.. They came originally from Greenland and introduced in Norway at the beginning of the fifties last century.. They look like bisons.. The area is very special, and large as well (see my picture at TE) The chance to see these animals is not so big.. Locals see them more often, but almost NEVER in a large group like this! They can be aggressive, i was aware of that.. But even do I was careful, my Norwegian friends are calling me mad for making this picture so close.. They crossed the road suddenly just a minute after we decided to gave up our Muskox tour and to return to our cabin. It was raining cats and dogs, I graphed my cam, and ran out of the car, with the body under my shirt, not getting it wet. I did not wanted to surprise them with my appearance, so when i saw them I moved slow and showed myself.. They watched me, but reacted quit relaxed, I came closer and made this picture using a thick branch as a tripod. To bad it was raining that day.. But it was a nice experience! |

Maybe not the best picture from your hand Olger, but what a story! The note is fantastic! TFS! PT.

Muskoxen are some of my favorite animals. I like the rainy feel of the picture. It adds athmosphere to this grave creatures.
Only it could have been a little sharper, no nitpicking meant :)
