Manly Beach
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took this photo on a trip to Manly Beach outside of Sydney. I liked the sediment layers in the rocks. The area has a thriving tourist industry, which depends on the natural beauty of the area, including the natural sandy beaches and surrounding waterways.
In the past, there have been pressures on this recreational resource from both the natural processes of erosion and shoreline slope instability and from man-made activities including development, heavy mineral extraction and the entrance breakwater construction. (excerpted from manlyhydraulics.com)
This is a scanned photo. Photo was taken on a cloudy day so I adjusted contrast. |
