[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This female Black-tailed Skimmer (orthetrum cancellatum) landed on a lavender bush in my garden, and sat there nice and quiet, allowing me to take this shot.

You can tell it's a female by the black and yellow markings, the male of the species has a blue abdomen with a black tip (hence the name)
