[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Dutch]
Today I have been needed Indentification.
And specially the latin name or dutch name.
I think its the Western Willow Spreadwing but I am not sure.

The Western Willow Spreadwing is a fairly large, metallic green or brown damselfly. As with all Lestes species, it typically holds its wings at an angle of about 45 degrees when at rest. It is a common and widely distributed species throughout Europe except the British Isles and Scandinavia. Compared to its very much rarer stable mate the Eastern Willow Spreadwing (Lestes parvidens), Lestes parvidens' pterostigma is said to be somewhat lighter in colour (dark golden yellow rather than light brown), the tip and sides of the male's appendages are more extensively black, and the female's ovipositor has 10-14 smallish teeth (rather than the 6-8 larger teeth in L. parvidens).

Great pose with excellent isolation and detail, plus lovely colour.

Hi Gert, wonderful insect... try either Ischnura pamilio, or Platycnemis pennipes for comparison, both have striped body parts.....I think more pennipes... regards h

Hi Gert,

A beautiful capture of this Spreadwing in a wonderful diagonal position. Good colors and excellent details. I love the composition of this picture.

Hallo Gert,
Mooie foto van deze libel. Erg goede scherpte in een goede compositie. Misschien dat de achtergrond nog iets vervaagd had kunnen worden. Maar het licht op de libel en aar zijn schitterend.
Groet,
Peter
