Hello Janice,
Interesting light with great color and detail.
Good settings for a handheld shot with nice sharpness also.
Well composed, it looks like you had a good vantage point to shoot this from too..
OK, I won't be so hard on myself :)

Hi Janice
Great view of these hoodoo formations. I also like the sinuous form of the river. Well seen and captured.

Hallo Janice
Thanks for sharing this beautiful landscape with us. There is such a lot to appreciate in this image. It indeed looks like an oasis. I think one can sit at the top of the rocks and just forget about anything and everybody for at least a few hours. One can really see far into the distance and the air is open and clear. It has such a relaxing feeling to it. The water stream really looks inviting and refreshing. The shapes and sizes of the rock formations is super and well displayed. A lovely display of various aspects of nature in one. Thanks for sharing this scenery.
Kind regards.
Anna

I do wonder how it got its name, the milk river! If you remember, somewhere, in the Old Testament, when Moses is about to die, he sends a few folks to the promised land, and they come back saying its a land where milk and honey flows!
A splended shot, and I get that scene playing when i see this shot, janice!

what a fabulous scene, nice colors and good exposure control, looks like a difficult scene to capture, those foreground rocks are very interesting

I seem to have missed a number of your posts Janice. The light in this one is really nice. I like the shape of the water leading into the scene. The rocks are so interesting. Another option to try might be to crop out the sky ... all the interesting part of the image is in the mid and fore grounds. Maybe also crop a bit off the left side to keep the photo ratio. I think it would put more emphasis on that great foreground rock and then the water too. Just a thought.
