[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tachina grossa is a large member of the Tachinid family of flies. Members of this group are parasitic. At 20mm this is one of the UK's largest flies, and lays its eggs on hairy caterpillars such as Fox Moth and Eggar species. The adult flies can be seen feeding on flowers in the summer months.

Kind Regards

Hi Vinny,

Good detail on the face and eyes of this guy. i am just glad they are small or else they would cause bad nightmares.

Hi Vinny,
Well composed, POV and DOF.
