Hello Howard,
A good in-flight freeze of this Black-chinned Hummingbird with great technical qualities, BG and lighting with skilled use of flash. The WS images are also great and would serve very well as separate postings. Altogether very nice to view and a great tribute to our friend Selen who, as you say, has done a lot for this site. She must be pleased.

Even if you benefit from this Texan lightning, excellent equipment; your skills to catch those tiny creatures in-flight just amaze me... this is great one- perfect sharpness and very well composed, beautifull colours of bird and nice BG, very nice dedication as well... just one thing doesnt fit to me- grey frame, it is my personal view but it could look better with black or green one... just a technical proposition, photograph as I said looks perfect.

I think taking a photo like this, is like a dream that came true. I dream of a shot like this. All my attempts in this field only turn out capturing only the sky or only the branch or any thing else but a bird in flight. You have managed to capture this bird in flight in perfect frozen pose and the visible details are unbelievable. What impresses me the most is the clear visibility of the eyes and that sharp pointed beak. This is a piece well focused, well framed and stunning detailed artwork. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed this one.

Although I agree with Adrian (aes_thor) in the case of frame. I don't live in the United States so I can talk about it. :) Of course I know we are here to comment the photo, not the frame, but a thin white - thick black combination would fit better. Just a personal thought, of course, and not so serious. Photo itself is perfect and deserves more than 2 points.
