Hi Evelynn,
a great shot, not only for very beautiful landscape, but also for bear. Nicely composed and focused. POV and colors great. nicely framed also. Thanks. best wishes
Ahmet
Hello Evelynn
You can see the concentration in this bear's body language.
It reminds me of the ketchup commercial with the song Anticipation is making me wait.
The scenery is breathtaking and I can understand why you would want to include it in this shot.Gotta love the dedication for the art side of photography.I have found myself in some odd spots and contortions fighting off various nibbling insects doing just what this "big bar" is doing.Waiting!
Ironic that you and the bear are both waiting an waiting and waiting.
TFS

Hi Evelynn
I know the feeling - I thought I was just unlucky when I was in Banff recently. Anyway, well worth the wait - the mountains gib=ve this shot the wow factor. I also think the bands of colour are very effective.

Hello Evelynn,
Fantastic to see the Grizzly in this grand environment. He's almost camouflaged where he is and the rest provides a lovely contrast in colours. Excellent POV and beautiful colours in this fine landscape.

You have adopted or perhaps adapted your eye for the earth tonal palette in oil to image. A fine eye for colour balance eh? The beast off centered makes for a truly interesting capture, leaving the eyes free to roam the landscape beyond and absorb all of the scenery! Your quite talented but of course...you most well should be all things considered!

Hello Evelynn,
I'm curious what they found. Something to eat, or........
A very nice compo, the blue sky, the mountains at the BG, the green line of pinetrees and the brown bushes at the FG and then at least the subject. Perfect. Nice framework. Congrats with your patience.
Thanks for sharing. Regards and TFS BOB

Hi Evelynn,
Waiting until something will happen can be very frustrating. Especially if the expectations are high...:-)
Beautiful colors and great content (mountains, bear,...)
Well done

hello Evelynn
what a splendid landscape and with that great wild animal
that is the bear, i love your image with this pose of the bear
his eyes and head to the hole looking for something,
it bring something else to the image, like a dynamism in the image,
the luminosity and colours are beautiful and the sharpness
and details are excellent, i love too the images of the workshop,

Outstanding photo like a scene from a wildlife magazine! Outstanding composition with main subject tucked into lower right one third of frame against a beautiful background. But not only that, I love the way the background is divided into sections (sky, mountains, evergreens, tall grass, snow, short grass). Excellent exposure, color, and detail. I also enjoyed the workshop photos!

oooh now you're just showing off! This one has it all really, what a scene of natural splendour. The tones, the layers of vegetation and all their textures and colours, the awesome wall of ice and rock in the back...oh, and a Grizzly chucked in for good measure, perfectly placed in the shot too. Magic, well done Evelynn, it's great to see another Landscaper here on TN, and also one who's obviously so passionate about it too. I love your work.

Hello Evelynn, a difficult exposure that you handled perfectly, great subject and a fantastic composition, I can't find anything that isn't great in it, well done, thanks!
Mario
Beauty, Evelynn. It just shows that persistence pays off. Remarkable snow on the Tetons there, May 13. The ground looks like early spring.
As for the head down, I had a similar experience in Yellowstone, of the 100 shots I knocked off, probably 90 were the guy rooting in the ground.
Mike
Hi Evelynn!
I love this shot! The landscape is beautiful, without doubt, and the fact that you choose to showcase a native, in its beautiful nativity(if there's such a word!) is awesome!
I simply love it!

PS:What is SRGB?I'm afraid I'm absolutely ignorant on matters of technicality!Do let me know how I can do the conversion you mentioned, if and when you can make the time, please...Thanks!
OK first I have to ask...you were in a vehicle I hope.
Not sure I would be around otherwise.
This is one beautiful shot with those mountains behind as well.
The workshops are equally as good.I really want to photograph some grizzlies soon. TFS.
PS.... the view of sunset was looking opposite where Calif is.
I feel for anyone who is there or has to put up with it.Thanks for your comment.
Hi Evelynn!
As an old mountaineer, I don't know what fascinates me more in your picture: the bear or the marvellous mountains... One thing is sure: both together make a powerful and dynamic picture, held in strong and vivid colours that are producing a great tonicity.
(Sorry for my bad English...)
Kind regards

I think they are a great series, this one is the best but I think it is more just because of his pose, he looks playful and curious where in the others they all are just curious.
Great mountains and fore ground the colors kinda take you through the season, winter, spring & fall.

Wow Evelynn,
Very nice composition, bear and mountains landscape! Great satured colors, and cute fat grizzly! Just a small point, which is beyond your control, the cloud at mountains level. That would have been really nice if it would not be present.

Hi there,
So many photos to critique, so little time to do it in. I had to start with this one since it combines wildlife and landscape in one and that's what I find really special. Especially when the background is the wonderful Teton range.
I like the different layers of colors moving from warm to cool and I really love the way you positioned the bear in the frame.
Thats it for this one, moving on to the next.
TFS,
Niek

dear Evelynn,
As I'm not an regular visitor of TN ( I do the TE much more commonly ) I haven't have the opportunity to follow your wonderful works so much, and that makes it very hard to write some critics as there is so many fantastic images.
anyway my eye landed on this one as I fond the contrast and the color scale so attractive. the BG mountain is very graphic. and the brown bear seems very unweary about your presence.
Like it.

wow what a scene, great place and good timing to capture the grizzly, as many times as I have been in the mountains I have never seen a bear myself.
The lighting is a little harsh though

Hello Evelynn,
such a lovely lanscape you have. Great snow-capped mountains and wonderful colours of the forest. This shot is excellent because it contains both, the animal and the landscape.
Beautiful and well thought shot. Worth the waiting.
