[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A small greyish brown hawk, the White-eyed Buzzard has a white throat, two dark cheek stripes, brown and white underparts, and orange-yellow cere. Eyes white or yellowish white, conspicuous at close quarters. A whitish nuchal patch and buffish wing shoulders provide additional clues to its identity. Sexes alike. Singly, in open scrub country. Habits: Affects dry open country and thin deciduous forest; avoids humid and densely-wooded tracts. Rather sluggish. Perches on dry trees, telegraph posts, etc., and swoops down on its prey.they feed on Locusts, grasshoppers, crickets and other large insects as well as mice, lizards and frogs. A beneficial species, quite wrongly accused of destroying game birds.

This is a Jouvenile Buzard, which was feeding on insects when i approached it . Later it flew off to another place. I took this just when it took off to the air.I anticipated it to fly, and took 3 pictures and two are good.Thse jouvenils look great in coloration and some times more confusing in identifying.

Hi Satish,
Well done!
Good portrait of this Hawk flight. Miss a bit the shutter speed disclosure. Doesn't matter.:-))

This is a gorgeous rendition of the buzzard in flight. A faster shutter speed might have made this a bit sharper, but you know, it's still a splendid capture.

The POV and DOF are wonderful, plus I can see the motion of his talons. The catchlight is excellent as is the composition. Nicely done.

Hi Satish
very nice image
well done.

Satish,

What a timing Satish. Looks like the Bazzard is showing you a full wing display, flying at odd angle to the ground.
